Menzies works with the industry to transport ex-NHS goods to Ukraine

Menzies were recently approached by the RHA to provide support to SHAP – The Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership who have collected, sorted, boxed and delivered over 1350 tonnes of aid into Eastern Ukraine. The group has also extended its work to support Ukrainian refugees living in the UK, helping them to find paid work and get access to health, housing and education services.

SHAP have been experiencing logistics bottlenecks in being able to move ex-NHS goods (beds and antiseptic wipes) into Ukraine.

Menzies is delighted to support, using our unique network capabilities to collect beds, mattresses and plastic inserts from Halifax, moving them to our Wakefield depot via a series of shunts. A Ukrainian driver is collecting the supplies for onward movement and they should be in Lviv area by the end of the week.
