Menzies Distribution named as one of the UK’s top-performing private companies in The Sunday Times Top Track 100 for the second year in a row

Menzies Distribution, the UK’s leading national, time-critical logistics partner, has been named as one of the UK’s top-performing private companies in The Sunday Times Top Track 100 for the second year in a row.

The Top Track 100 ranks Britain’s 100 private companies by fastest growing sales figures over the last three years. Menzies Distribution has risen four places from its strong position last year, and now ranks at number 55 in the table.

Menzies Distribution is the third strongest performing company headquartered in Scotland to be included in The Top Track 100 [along with Arnold Clark and William Grant & Sons], with nine Scottish-based companies included on the list.

This year’s list is a Covid-19 special and highlights how the UK’s biggest private companies have supported the country during the crisis, how it has impacted their industries, and how they are adapting. Menzies Distribution was given Key Worker status throughout the pandemic and adapted quickly to operate in the challenging circumstances to support the nation whilst ensuring the safety of its employees as a priority.

During the lockdown, in partnership with NHS Scotland, Menzies Distribution has delivered 10 million items of PPE to 931 GP practices and 1,094 care homes.

Menzies Distribution makes around 25,000 deliveries to retailers every day, with its teams covering 135,000 miles each day from its 60 UK logistics hubs, including its Coventry superhub. Menzies Distribution has introduced electric vehicles, the eMenzies fleet, to its 2,000-strong fleet and expanded its service offering to include parcel and PPE delivery.
