Menzies Distribution deliver supplies to NHS Nightingale pop-up store.

We are supporting the health care and medical sectors in the fight against Covid-19 in various ways.

These include delivering PPE to GPs in Scotland, delivering parcels of PPE to some care homes, delivering essential medicines to client homes in the Offshore Islands and playing a role in the setting up of the Louisa Jordan field hospital in Glasgow.

We have now started delivering supplies to the NHS Nightingale field hospital in London. We are supplying newspapers and magazines to the new, pop-up Tesco store at the hospital.

We’ve worked closely with the customer and our own Health & Safety team, preparing a full risk assessment and plan which includes PPE for the drivers and a bespoke safety briefing from our Covid-19 Business Continuity Manager to ensure all deliveries are made completely safely.

Early feedback from our staff include: “It was a fairly straightforward delivery made to a loading bay, completely segregated from the main hospital.”

“As you would expect, the site is incredibly well organised with all goods in being directed on a route to the contractor parking and loading bays.” The whole team at Menzies Distribution are proud to be part of this and feel privileged that we can provide this service to our NHS. Although it’s for Tesco, the real beneficiaries are the staff working at the hospital.
