Easter donations across our local communities

Supporting local communities is an important part of Menzies Distribution and we are committed to doing whatever we can to have a positive impact on the communities we serve. Now more than ever, it’s important to help others where you can.

We are pleased to share with you the efforts of our teams across our national network and how they have come together to support these local communities below.

BEATSON CANCER CHARITY

Our Linwood site donated 150 Easter eggs to our charity partner, Beatson Cancer Charity.

“Thank you so much for the delivery of 150 Easter eggs. You will be pleased to know we distributed them to patients in the outpatient clinics and they were just about gone in 10 minutes. We do hope that we can see you all again soon. Once again, thanks so much for the thoughtful gifts this Easter. You certainly put a smile on many faces.”

Joyce Ross, Corporate Partnership Manager, Beatson Cancer Charity

ST ANDREW’S HOSPICE

The staff at our Scunthorpe site collected Easter eggs and sweets for the children at St Andrew’s Hospice. The nurse was delighted to receive the donation, advising the children ‘love surprises’.

“The hospice sometimes struggles for donations. The Easter donations are a welcome treat, thank you.”

THE PEOPLE’S KITCHEN

Staff at our Belfast site donated over 100 Easter eggs to The People’s Kitchen. The volunteers were delighted with the donation having received over 800 requests for Easter eggs.

In a message on their Twitter page the charity stated:

“We are very thankful to Menzies Distribution for their continued support and kind donation of Easter eggs today. They will go to those who are homeless, including families this week. Huge thank you from all the volunteers.”

GREAT WESTERN HOSPITAL

In partnership with WHSmith we donated two pallets of Easter eggs for the NHS staff at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. The hospital team was very grateful for the donations to the NHS frontline workers for the second year.

SECRET HELPERS OF YORK
