Ann Merchant Joins as Head of IT Service Management

Menzies Distribution are pleased to announce the appointment of Ann Merchant as Head of IT Service Management. Ann will report into Craig Macpherson, our CIO, as a member of his IT Leadership Team. IT Service Management is a vital operation for any organisation, and is critical to the continual service improvement of the IT operation. We have to ensure our IT Group is robust and scalable enough to support our business transformation and growth. Ann will be implementing a formal Service Management team structure aligned to the business, to complement the existing IT Service Desk. Ann has worked in the IT Industry for over 22 years, gaining a wealth of experience across different industry sectors including Logistics, Food Manufacturing and IT Services. Ann joins us from Fujitsu where she has been in Service Delivery for 11 years, working on some major accounts during her time there, including Halifax Bank of Scotland and Boots Retail. Most recently, Ann has been heading up the IT Service Delivery Team for Internal Business IT Services across Europe.
