During the height of the Coronavirus pandemic, we supported our NHS delivering 10million items (45,000 individual boxes) of critical PPE, consisting of; aprons, gloves and masks to 2000 GPs and care homes across Scotland, stretching from the Borders up to the Highlands & Islands.
Menzies Distribution utilised its fast and far-reaching network to get the supplies to the frontline where they are urgently needed.
We are immensely proud our organisation has been able to play an ongoing role in supporting the NHS and all carers and key workers. 10million items and counting.
We received positive feedback from the NHS on a job well done. We implemented processes, procedures and new ways of working that were previously not in existence.
Menzies Distribution was extremely proud to play a role in the NHS Louisa Jordan hospital set up, by delivering supplies on behalf of NHS Scotland.
NHS Louisa Jordan was a temporary field hospital at the Scottish Events Campus (SEC) in Glasgow. Construction started on 31 March 2020 at the 10,000 sq. ft emergency facility which had capacity for 516 beds.
Menzies Distribution took stock either from the NHS warehouse at Larkhall or Stanford Logistics and delivered to the Louisa Jordan hospital.
