Menzies Distribution Coventry achieves BRCGS accreditation

We are pleased to share that our Coventry Superhub has passed its first BRC Global Standard (BRCGS) Storage and Distribution audit, achieving the top ‘AA’ Grade.

The BRCGS accreditation demonstrates our adherence to quality, safety and operational standards and is often a requirement of the supplier approval process in the food sector.

The accreditation is well known within Menzies, as we currently have nine BRCGS certified warehouses.

Robin Dearden, Group Quality and Environment Manager added:

“To achieve the top grade of BRCGS in just four months and on the first attempt is no easy feat. The whole team at Coventry have pulled together to achieve this, building on their existing high standards and adapting to new ways of working, to ensure the accreditation was obtained. We’ve used the knowledge and best practice from MDS and adapted it into the Coventry operation. A real demonstration of working together between the businesses”.

Well done to the site team who have worked tirelessly over the past four months to ensure the site met the strict requirements of the audit. Also, to the Health and Safety team who have acted as acted as a driving force, sharing best practice and existing knowledge to ensure the audit success. This is a superb result and an excellent demonstration of what can be achieved when working together towards a common goal.
